Get Inspired!

Join The Movement!

Thanks for checking out our “Get Inspired” page!

Ever felt like you wanted to ‘make a difference in this world’, but you don’t know how to? Or ever felt like you were made for more BUT you need a little nudge and help finding the ‘made for more’ inside of you?

You are in the right place!

Friend, mind if I call you friend? Because everyone involved in the Engedi movement, we are all are friends. :)  We have felt like we were ‘made for more too’ & we WANT to make a difference in this world too!

The dream about Engedi from the beginning was to link arms with others and change the world! There is so much craziness going on in this world, we know sometimes it can be overwhelming—BUT if we do this together, we can have some tiny little impact on someone’s life.

As Mother Teresa said “I alone can not change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

Guys, we can literally change the world, together! Let’s cast some stones!

This whole idea was birthed through an 11 year old—you can read more about her awesome story later, further down the page. Or if you are dying to hear it, click here…

Since day 1, this has been a movement of people banding together to birth this thing.

We know, ‘birth' is usually a solo mission with you and a "deer in the headlights" husband standing at your side with a nurse doing all the work just in time for the Doctor to swoop in at the end to get all the glory!

But this is a different kind of birthing… this birthing was started as a desire & dream of an 11 year old.

Then, a group of people came along side her & her family, gave insight, gave ideas, gave money, gave time, & supported and loved this thing in to existence!

And here we are--day 1!

Would you join our team and the ‘day 1’ movement and jump in!

You are reading this so, in our heart and mind, you are already part of this!

Welcome to the team!

Welcome to the movement!

Welcome to changing the world…

Let's get connected!

Seriously, it would mean the world to us if you shared our social media, facebook & instagram with your friends and family, & even your enemies too. ;)

We are a 'grass-roots' movement and that means NOT a huge budget for marketing or ads.

So we are counting on people; the actual people who are a part of this thing to keep it moving.  You keep it moving!

Other ways to help: if you have ideas or skills you think we may need—reach out!

Seriously, we mean it! Have a great shirt design idea? Reach out!

Have a unique skill set you think could bless this movement—reach out!

If you live locally and you love #’s we would love a volunteer book-keeper. ;)

We really mean it—if you have a skill you think could help (& you all have skills!)—please reach out if you feel led!

Videographer?

Photographer?

You love fonts and want to help with social media posts!

You have an Uncle Charley who wants to donate zillions of dollars to our 501c3? Awesome! Reach out and we would love to meet you and your Uncle Charley.

I know some of you are thinking “I am too old, I really don’t have anything to offer…”—please girl, tell the enemy he is old—you are still on this planet with breath in your lungs, so you have stuff to do!

YOU ARE making a difference—every post you share and friend you tell—that is one more person that can feel empowered to help too! That alone is making a difference in someone’s life!

I could go on and on…but you get the gist?

We don’t work in some ivory tower drinking champagne with no time to hear from our people!

We work out of a house & a local coffee shop depending on the day and the amount of caffeine needed & we LOVE hearing from our people!

YOU my friend are OUR people!

Ok, let’s keep in touch!

Thanks for joining the movement! Let’s do this together!

Together, we’re better!

Much love,

Dani, Makenzie & the Engedi Team

Makenzie

Co-Founder & Lead Visionary

Makenzie learned about the crisis in Syria as she was studying the country for a project in her 6th grade class. Her heart broke, and she was moved to help the refugees in some way. After hearing her mom give a message at her school about the kids being a “masterpiece," she came home and the idea came together to put the word POIEMA—("masterpiece" in Greek) on shirts, sell them, and give the money away to organizations that are helping Syrian refugees and orphans. Through her idea, we have launched The 11th Initiative, Inc, a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to bring help and hope to anyone who is suffering emotionally, physically, financially and/or spiritually. Engedi is the clothing line that was launched from Makenzie's inspiring idea.
